How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and remove it from the lawn. Place it on a protected surface to catch any leaking lubricant.
- Identify source: Inspect around each rear wheel for signs of oil or grease. Determine which gearbox is leaking.
- Check for damage: Look for cracks in the gearbox housing or wheel hub. If present, the entire motor/gearbox assembly must be replaced.
- Avoid operation: Do not continue using the mower with a leaking gearbox, as it can seize and damage the motor.
- Replace assembly: Remove the affected wheel and gearbox according to the LandXcape service instructions and install a new drive motor/gearbox assembly.
