Possible Causes
Worn blade motor bearings, Loose cutting disc, Damaged drive motor gearbox, Foreign object trapped under chassis
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch OFF the mower and wait for blades to stop before turning it over.
- Inspect cutting disc: Check that the disc is firmly attached to the blade motor shaft. Tighten the mounting screw/bolt to the specified torque.
- Check for debris: Remove stones, branches, or other objects lodged between the disc, blades, and chassis.
- Spin components: Manually spin the cutting disc and each drive wheel. Listen for grinding or clicking that indicates bearing or gearbox damage.
- Replace worn parts: If the blade motor or a drive motor makes noise even when spun by hand, replace the corresponding LandXcape motor/gearbox assembly.
- Test after repair: Run the mower on a flat area and listen for remaining abnormal sounds.
