Possible Causes
Unequal tire wear or pressure (solid wheels), One drive motor weaker than the other, Wheel encoder misreading speed, Debris in one wheel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower before inspecting wheels.
- Clean wheels: Remove grass and mud from both rear wheels. Ensure tread patterns are similar and not excessively worn on one side.
- Spin test: Rotate each wheel by hand to feel for drag or grinding. A stiff wheel indicates gearbox or bearing issues.
- Swap wheels (if possible): Swap the left and right wheels to see if the deviation changes sides. If it does, replace the affected wheel or gearbox.
- Encoder check: Inspect the wheel encoder sensors and discs for dirt or damage. Clean as needed.
- Motor replacement: If one motor is noticeably weaker or noisy, replace the corresponding LandXcape drive motor/gearbox assembly.
