Possible Causes
Magnetic interference from nearby metal objects, Faulty compass module, Loose compass mounting, Damaged compass wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and disconnect the battery before opening the housing.
- Remove magnetic sources: Keep the mower and charging station away from large metal structures, speakers, or buried metal pipes during calibration.
- Recalibrate: Use the LawnMaster menu or app to perform a compass calibration in an open area, following on-screen instructions.
- Inspect compass module: Locate the small compass PCB inside the mower, usually mounted away from motors. Ensure it is firmly attached and not bent.
- Check wiring: Verify the compass harness is intact and securely connected to the main control board.
If E16 persists after proper calibration and relocation, the compass module may be defective and require replacement.
