How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower, remove the battery connector, and wait for all moving parts to stop before turning it over.
- Inspect blade disc: Check that the LawnMaster blade disc mounting bolt is tight. Tighten to the specified torque if loose.
- Remove debris: Clear stones, branches, and compacted grass from the blade housing and around the motor shaft.
- Spin components by hand: Rotate the blade disc and wheels by hand. Listen and feel for roughness or grinding that indicates bearing or gearbox wear.
- Check blade screws: Ensure all blade screws are tight and blades are not flapping excessively.
If grinding persists from the blade motor or a drive wheel gearbox, the affected assembly should be replaced to prevent further damage.
