Possible Causes
Dull or chipped blades, Incorrect blade type installed, Blades installed backwards, Cutting wet or overly tall grass
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and disconnect the battery before handling blades.
- Inspect blades: Remove each LawnMaster blade and check for nicks, bends, or dull edges. Replace as a full set if worn.
- Correct installation: Ensure new blades are installed with the sharp edge facing the correct direction as indicated in the manual.
- Adjust mowing height: Raise the cutting height if the grass is very tall, then gradually lower over several days.
- Avoid wet mowing: Schedule mowing for dry periods to reduce clumping and tearing.
Regularly replacing blades (every few weeks in heavy use) maintains cut quality and reduces strain on the blade motor.
