Possible Causes
Damaged keypad membrane, Moisture ingress into control panel, Loose ribbon cable to main board, Worn buttons from heavy use
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and disconnect the battery before opening the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If the mower was exposed to rain or washing, allow it to dry in a warm, ventilated area for 24 hours.
- Inspect cable: Open the top cover and check the ribbon cable from the keypad/display to the main control board. Reseat the connector.
- Check for corrosion: Look for green/white corrosion on the keypad PCB or connectors.
- Test individual buttons: Press each button firmly; if some work and others do not, the keypad membrane is likely failing.
Replace the LawnMaster control panel or keypad assembly if responsiveness does not return after drying and reseating cables.
