Possible Causes

Charging station not level or misaligned with guide wire, Station moved or tilted, Damaged station detection sensor on mower, Obstruction in front of station

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the charging station before repositioning it.

  • Check station placement: Ensure the Makita charging station is on a flat, level surface with enough straight boundary wire in front as specified in the manual.
  • Clear obstacles: Remove any objects, tall grass, or edging that could block the mower’s approach.
  • Realign guide wire: Make sure the guide wire runs straight into the station and is centered under the docking path.
  • Secure station: Peg or screw the station firmly so it cannot move when the mower docks.
  • Test docking: Plug in the station, place the mower a few meters away on the guide wire, and start a “Return to base” command.

If E14 persists and other mowers can use the same station, the station detection sensor or related electronics in the mower may be faulty.
