Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the mower and disconnect from the charging station.
- Power cycle: Leave the mower powered OFF for at least 5 minutes, then power ON and check if E15 clears.
- Check for moisture: Inspect the housing for signs of water ingress. If wet, dry the mower indoors for 24–48 hours before retrying.
- Visual PCB check: If you can open the unit, look for burnt components, corrosion, or insect nests on the main PCB.
- Firmware reset: If the Makita model supports a factory reset via the menu, attempt it (note: this may erase schedules).
Persistent E15 almost always requires replacement of the main control PCB by an authorized Makita service center. Do not attempt component-level repair unless you are qualified.
