Possible Causes
RTC battery on PCB depleted, Firmware bug affecting schedule, Main PCB fault, Power interruptions during programming
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the mower, wait 30 seconds, then power ON.
- Reset date/time: Enter the settings menu and reconfigure the current date and time.
- Recreate schedules: Delete existing mowing schedules and program them again according to the Makita manual.
- Firmware update: If your model supports firmware updates via USB or app, update to the latest version.
- Test: Observe whether the mower now follows the schedule without E20.
If E20 persists and the clock resets frequently, the internal RTC circuit or backup battery on the PCB may be failing and require board replacement.
