Possible Causes
Disconnected or depleted battery pack, Faulty main power switch, Blown internal fuse, Defective Makita power adapter or no mains power to station
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the mower from the lawn and place it on a bench.
- Check charging station: Verify the station LEDs are lit. If not, test the outlet with another device and inspect the Makita power adapter and cable.
- Dock and wait: Place the mower in the station and leave it for at least 1–2 hours to charge a deeply discharged battery.
- Try power button again: After charging, press and hold the power button for the duration specified in the manual.
- Inspect main switch: Ensure the main ON/OFF switch on the mower underside or side is set to ON.
- Battery connection: If accessible, open the battery compartment and confirm the battery connector is firmly plugged in.
If the mower remains completely dead with a known-good charger and outlet, internal fuses, wiring, or the main PCB may be faulty and should be checked by a Makita technician.
