Makita
Front Support Wheel / Skid Malfunction
Robot mower occasionally stops with front lifted slightly and wheels spinning, even on small obstacles

Possible Causes
Seized front caster wheel, Worn or flat-spotted front roller, Debris jammed around front wheel axle, Bent front wheel bracket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the mower before inspection.
- Inspect front wheel: Lift the front of the mower and spin the caster or roller by hand. It should rotate freely.
- Clean axle: Remove grass, hair, or string wrapped around the axle.
- Check bracket: Ensure the front wheel bracket is not bent and allows full movement.
- Replace if worn: Install a new Makita front wheel or roller assembly if the old one is seized or badly worn.
A properly functioning front support wheel helps the mower ride over small bumps instead of getting hung up.
