Possible Causes
Broken boundary wire, Loose boundary wire terminal at charging station, Faulty boundary wire transmitter in charging station, Interference from nearby power cables
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the mower OFF and remove it from the lawn before working on the boundary wire or station.
- Check station LEDs: Look at the Mammotion charging/base station indicator for boundary loop status. A flashing or red LED often indicates a loop fault.
- Inspect boundary connections: At the station, remove the boundary wire ends from the terminals. Trim 1 cm of insulation and reinsert firmly, ensuring good copper contact.
- Walk the perimeter: Follow the boundary wire around the yard. Look for cuts from gardening tools, pet damage, or disconnected splices. Repair breaks using waterproof wire connectors approved for outdoor use.
- Check for interference: Ensure the boundary wire is not run parallel and very close to mains power cables, metal fences, or large buried cables. If it is, reroute the wire slightly away from these sources.
- Test loop continuity: Use a multimeter set to continuity or resistance to check the loop from one terminal to the other. Infinite resistance indicates a break.
- If the loop is intact but E003 persists, the boundary transmitter circuit in the charging station may be defective and the station may need replacement.
