Possible Causes
Faulty MEMS tilt sensor on mainboard, Loose mounting of mainboard causing false tilt readings, Damaged tilt sensor wiring, Firmware miscalibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the mower OFF and remove the battery connector before opening the electronics compartment.
- Verify environment: Ensure the mower is not operating on slopes steeper than the Mammotion specification. Avoid soft ground where wheels sink and cause extreme tilt.
- Check for impacts: Inspect the chassis for signs of heavy impact or deformation that could misalign the mainboard.
- Secure mainboard: Open the electronics cover and verify the main control board is firmly screwed down. Tighten any loose mounting screws.
- Connector check: Reseat the mainboard connectors, especially those labeled for IMU/tilt sensor if accessible.
- Firmware update: Using the Mammotion app (if supported), check for firmware updates that may address tilt sensor calibration issues.
- If E005 persists on level ground, the tilt sensor (often integrated on the mainboard) may be defective, requiring mainboard replacement.
