Possible Causes
Front bumper jammed by debris, Broken bumper spring or guide, Faulty bumper switch, Damaged bumper sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Power OFF the mower before working on the bumper.
- Check bumper movement: Press the front bumper in and release. It should move freely and spring back evenly across its width.
- Clean gap: Remove grass, mud, or stones from the gap between the bumper and the main body. Use a soft brush or compressed air.
- Inspect bumper switches: From underneath or behind the bumper, locate the micro-switches or sensor bar. Ensure they are not bent or broken.
- Wiring check: Follow the bumper sensor cable to the mainboard. Confirm the connector is fully seated and wires are not pinched.
- After cleaning and reseating, power ON and test. If E008 remains, the bumper sensor assembly may require replacement.
