Possible Causes
Rain sensor pad contaminated with dirt, Corroded rain sensor contacts, Broken rain sensor cable, Failed rain sensor module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the mower before cleaning sensors.
- Locate sensor: Find the rain/moisture sensor on the top or front of the mower (often a small grid or pad).
- Clean surface: Wipe the sensor gently with a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly.
- Inspect for corrosion: Look for green/white deposits on the sensor contacts. Light corrosion can be gently removed with a soft brush.
- Cable check: Follow the sensor cable to the mainboard and ensure the connector is secure.
- If E018 persists in dry conditions, replace the rain sensor module.
