Possible Causes
Main STOP button latched down, STOP button microswitch failure, STOP button wiring harness loose, Main board input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the main power switch OFF and remove the mower from the charging station before working on it.
- Check STOP button position: Verify the red STOP button on the top cover is fully released. Press it down firmly and then twist or pull (depending on model) to release it. Turn the main switch OFF/ON and try again.
- Inspect for debris: Make sure no grass, twigs, or dirt are jamming the STOP button so it cannot fully release. Clean around the button with a soft brush.
- Check button travel and click: With power OFF, press the STOP button repeatedly. You should feel a clear click. If it feels mushy or sticks, the internal microswitch may be faulty.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the top cover (follow the user manual for screw locations). Locate the STOP button wiring harness and ensure the connector is fully seated on the main PCB and that no wires are broken or pinched.
- Reset the mower: Reassemble, turn the main switch ON, place the mower in the charging station, and perform a restart. If E1 persists after confirming the button and wiring, the main board input circuit may be defective and professional service is recommended.
