Possible Causes
Aged battery with reduced capacity, Loose battery terminals, Faulty charging station output, High resistance in battery harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the main switch before inspecting electrical connections.
- Check charging behavior: Place the mower on the station and confirm the charging indicator appears. If not, inspect the station power supply and contacts.
- Inspect battery harness: Open the battery compartment and verify all connectors are tight and free of corrosion or heat damage.
- Perform a full charge: Allow the mower to charge uninterrupted for the recommended time (often overnight) and then start a mowing cycle. Note how long it runs before E11 appears.
- Evaluate battery age: If the mower is several seasons old and runtime is short, the battery is likely worn out and should be replaced with a genuine McCulloch pack.
- If new battery still triggers E11: The charging station or main PCB may be misreading battery voltage and should be checked by a technician.
