Possible Causes
Main power switch in OFF position, Faulty main power switch, Loose battery connector, Blown internal fuse on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the mower from the charging station and keep blades away from your hands.
- Verify main switch: Locate the main power switch (usually under the rear hatch). Ensure it is in the ON position. Turn it OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn it ON again.
- Check battery connection: With the main switch OFF, open the battery compartment. Confirm the battery plug is fully inserted into the connector and that there are no signs of corrosion or burnt contacts.
- Inspect main switch: Toggle the switch several times. If it feels loose, wobbly, or does not click, the switch may be worn. Visually inspect the wiring from the switch to the main PCB for damage.
- Check for internal fuse (if accessible): Some McCulloch robot mowers have a small fuse on or near the main PCB. Only inspect if you can access it without removing sealed covers. Replace only with the same rating if visibly blown.
- Test operation: Reassemble, place the mower on the charging station, and attempt to start. If E2 remains, the main PCB or power switch circuit likely needs replacement by a technician.
