Possible Causes
Grass or rope wrapped around drive wheel, Wheel motor gearbox jammed, Worn wheel bearings, Faulty drive motor current sensor on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the main switch and wear gloves. Keep hands clear of blades.
- Inspect wheels: Lift the mower slightly and spin each rear drive wheel by hand. They should rotate smoothly without grinding or binding.
- Remove obstructions: Check for grass, string, or wire wrapped around the wheel axles. Cut and remove all debris.
- Check wheel treads: Ensure the wheels are not packed with mud or stuck in ruts that cause overload.
- Inspect gearbox: If a wheel feels rough or locked, remove the wheel and inspect the drive motor gearbox for damage or water ingress.
- Test again: Reassemble and start the mower on flat ground. If E7 recurs quickly, the drive motor or current sensing circuit may be failing and should be replaced.
