Possible Causes

Grass or rope wrapped around blade disc, Bent blade disc, Seized cutting motor bearing, Faulty cutting motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the main switch and remove the mower from the lawn. Wear heavy gloves when working near blades.

  • Inspect blade disc: Turn the mower on its side. Check for accumulated grass, twine, or branches jammed between the disc and chassis.
  • Remove debris: Carefully cut away and remove all obstructions. Do not bend the disc.
  • Check disc rotation: Rotate the blade disc by hand. It should turn freely with slight resistance. Any grinding, stiffness, or wobble indicates bearing or disc damage.
  • Inspect blades: Ensure the small pivoting blades are not jammed against the chassis. Replace any broken or heavily worn blades.
  • Test operation: Return the mower upright, power ON, and start a test cycle. If E8 returns immediately and the disc does not spin, the cutting motor or its control circuit may need replacement.
