Possible Causes
Obstructed infrared or guide sensor at front of mower, Misaligned charging station, Damaged docking sensor PCB, Strong sunlight interference on sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charging station before moving or adjusting it.
- Check base position: Ensure the Parkside charging station is level, firmly fixed to the ground, and the boundary wire is installed according to the manual (straight approach zone).
- Clean sensors: At the front of the mower, locate any IR windows or docking sensors. Clean them with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and grass juice.
- Remove obstacles: Clear any objects, tall grass, or edging stones in front of the base that could block the mower's approach.
- Shade the base: If possible, place the base in a slightly shaded area to reduce IR interference from direct sunlight.
- Inspect docking sensor PCB: Open the front housing and check the docking sensor board and its wiring for damage or loose connectors.
When to replace: Replace the docking sensor PCB if it is cracked, water‑damaged, or shows no signal in diagnostic mode.
