Possible Causes
Dirty ultrasonic or IR side sensors, Sensor bracket misalignment, Damaged sensor wiring, Failed sensor module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch OFF the mower and remove it from the lawn.
- Locate side sensors: Some Parkside models have side or rear obstacle sensors (small round ultrasonic or IR windows). Identify their positions on the housing.
- Clean sensor faces: Wipe the sensor windows with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners that can scratch the lenses.
- Check mounting: Ensure the sensors are firmly clipped or screwed in and not pushed back into the housing.
- Inspect wiring: Open the housing and trace the sensor cables to the main PCB. Reseat connectors and check for damage.
- Test in open area: After cleaning, test the mower in a wide, obstacle‑free area to see if E15 still occurs.
When to replace: Replace the affected obstacle sensor module if it remains faulty after cleaning and reseating.
