Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the main power switch OFF and remove the battery if possible. Wait until all moving parts stop. Wear gloves before touching the blade disc.
- Clear obstructions: Carefully turn the mower upside down. Remove any stones, branches, rope, or accumulated grass clippings from around the blade disc and motor shaft.
- Check blade condition: Inspect the Parkside replacement blades and screws. Bent or heavily nicked blades can overload the motor. Replace all blades as a set using genuine Parkside blades and new screws.
- Spin test: With power OFF, gently rotate the blade disc by hand. It should spin freely without grinding noises. If it is stiff or rough, the blade motor bearings may be failing.
- Inspect motor wiring: Remove the bottom cover to access the blade motor. Check the motor connector to the main PCB for loose pins, burnt smell or discoloration. Reseat the connector.
- Gradual restart: After reassembly, set the cutting height to the highest position and mow shorter sessions to reduce load. Avoid very wet or extremely tall grass.
When to replace: If E3 recurs immediately with a free‑spinning disc and normal grass, the blade motor or motor driver circuit on the main board is likely defective.
