Parkside Start Inhibit / Safety Interlock Not Satisfied

Robot mower's display and keypad work, but the mower does not respond to the START command; stays idle in the base.

Possible Causes

Lift or tilt sensor reporting unsafe state, Emergency stop not released, Mowing schedule disabled, Child lock or safety mode active

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the mower is on level ground and no one is in the mowing area.

  • Check safety sensors: Verify that the mower is fully lowered, not tilted, and that the lift sensor is not triggered (see E1/E2/E20).
  • Release emergency stop: Press and release the STOP button to ensure it is not latched.
  • Review settings: Enter the menu and confirm that the mowing schedule is enabled and that no child lock is active. Disable any lock according to the manual.
  • Manual start test: Try starting the mower outside the base on the lawn. If it starts there but not from the base, check base sensors and boundary signal.

Note: If all safety conditions are met and it still will not start, a sensor may be falsely reporting an unsafe condition and require replacement.
