Possible Causes
Perimeter wire break, Base station power supply unplugged, Loose perimeter wire connection at base, Faulty perimeter transmitter in base station
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the mower OFF before handling the perimeter wire or base station connections.
- Check base station power: Verify the base station LED is lit as per the manual. If not, check the wall outlet, power supply, and low‑voltage plug.
- Inspect perimeter wire connections: At the base station, ensure both ends of the perimeter wire are firmly inserted into the terminals. Tighten any loose screws or clamps.
- Look for visible wire damage: Walk the perimeter and inspect for cuts, chew marks, or places where gardening tools may have damaged the wire. Pay special attention to edges, gates, and flower beds.
- Temporary bypass test: If you suspect a break, create a short test loop of wire (5–10 m) connected directly to the base station. Place the mower inside this loop and see if E7 clears. If it does, the original perimeter wire has a break that must be located and repaired with a Robomow wire repair kit.
- If no signal even on test loop: The base station perimeter transmitter or power supply may be defective and require replacement.
