Possible Causes
STOP button pressed or stuck, Child lock or safety mode engaged, Faulty STOP switch, Wiring issue to STOP circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Confirm the blade has stopped. Keep the mower on level ground while troubleshooting.
- Check STOP button: Locate the red STOP or emergency button. Press it firmly and then release to ensure it is not stuck in the down position.
- Inspect for contamination: Dirt or moisture can cause the STOP button to stick. Clean around the button with a dry cloth. Do not spray liquids directly into the switch.
- Verify child lock settings: Using the keypad or app, check if a child lock or safety lock is enabled and preventing operation. Disable it according to the manual.
- Power cycle: Turn the main power switch OFF for 30 seconds, then ON. Clear the error and attempt to start.
- If E9 persists: The STOP switch or its wiring harness may be faulty. Replacement of the switch assembly is recommended and may require opening the top cover.
