Possible Causes

Damaged wheel encoder magnet ring, Faulty hall sensor on wheel motor, Broken encoder cable, Corrosion at encoder connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and remove it from the station.

  • Check for rodent damage: After storage, inspect cables leading to the wheel motors for bite marks or breaks.
  • Inspect encoder area: Remove the wheel cover or wheel (depending on model) to access the encoder magnet ring and sensor. Clean away dirt and rust.
  • Check sensor gap: Ensure the hall sensor is positioned close enough to the magnet ring as per design (usually 1–2 mm). A bent bracket can increase the gap and cause E11.
  • Reseat connectors: Follow the encoder cable to the main board and reseat the connector.
  • Side isolation: If the error appears only when one wheel moves, that side’s encoder assembly is suspect and may need replacement.
