Possible Causes
Faulty blade motor hall sensor, Broken tachometer wire, Debris affecting sensor magnet, Main board input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and flip it over carefully.
- Clean blade hub: Remove grass and dirt from around the blade motor hub where the speed sensor magnet is located.
- Check blade disc tightness: Ensure the cutting disc is firmly attached to the motor shaft. A loose disc can cause erratic speed readings.
- Inspect sensor wiring: Trace the small sensor cable from the blade motor area to the main board. Look for cuts or loose connectors.
- Test behavior: After cleaning and reseating connectors, power ON and start a manual mow. If E12 appears immediately, the blade motor assembly (including sensor) may need replacement.
