Possible Causes
Moisture in keypad, Damaged display ribbon cable, Corroded keypad connector, Faulty keypad PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and remove it from the lawn.
- Drying: If the mower was exposed to heavy rain with the cover open, allow it to dry indoors for 24 hours.
- Inspect keypad membrane: Check for cracks or holes that could allow water ingress. Replace if damaged.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the top cover and inspect the flat ribbon cable between the keypad/display and main board. Ensure it is fully inserted and not kinked or torn.
- Clean connectors: Use contact cleaner on the keypad connector if corrosion is visible.
- Test: Reassemble, power ON, and check if the keypad responds. If E15 remains, the keypad PCB or main board interface may need replacement.
