Possible Causes
Debris jammed in rear wheel, Damaged rear wheel bearing, Loose wheel on axle, Faulty rear wheel motor (if driven)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower and flip it over carefully.
- Inspect rear wheel area: Remove grass, twine, or branches wrapped around the rear wheel or axle.
- Check wheel tightness: Ensure the wheel is firmly attached to the axle and not wobbling excessively.
- Spin test: Rotate the rear wheel by hand. It should move freely. Grinding or stiffness indicates bearing or axle damage.
- Lubrication: If allowed by the manual, lightly lubricate the axle with a suitable grease, avoiding contact with plastic parts.
- Service: If E16 persists and the wheel is free, the rear wheel motor or sensor (on models with driven rear wheels) may require replacement.
