Possible Causes

Defective lift sensor, Stuck front hood or bumper sensor, Debris lodged in chassis around sensor, Damaged wiring harness to sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the main switch OFF before inspecting sensors.

  • Check front hood/bumper: Gently press and release the front hood or bumper. It should move freely and return to its normal position without sticking. Clean away grass and dirt from the hinge areas.
  • Inspect lift sensor area: On many iMOW models, the lift sensor is integrated into the chassis or handle. Ensure no debris is trapped between the body and chassis that could falsely trigger the sensor.
  • Visual wiring check: Look under the housing for any pinched or damaged wires leading from the sensor areas to the main PCB.
  • Reboot test: Switch the mower ON, place it on level ground, and start a manual mowing cycle. Gently lift the mower a few centimeters to confirm the lift sensor stops the blades, then set it down and see if the error clears.

If E6 appears without any lifting or collision and cleaning does not help, the lift/collision sensor assembly or main PCB must be tested and replaced by a qualified technician.
