Possible Causes
Wet or muddy ground, Worn drive wheel tread, Excessive slope, Loose soil or sand patches
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the mower OFF before freeing it.
- Relocate mower: Manually move the mower to a firmer, level area and restart.
- Inspect wheels: Check the drive wheel tread for wear or clogging with mud. Clean the tread and replace wheels if the lugs are worn down.
- Adjust boundary: Modify the perimeter wire to exclude very soft or steep areas where the mower frequently gets stuck.
- Improve ground conditions: Add topsoil or grass seed to muddy patches to improve traction over time.
Persistent traction issues on moderate slopes may indicate weak drive motors or gearboxes, which should be evaluated by a technician.
