Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the mower's main power switch OFF and remove the mower from the lawn. Never work on the mower while it is on wet grass or connected to the charging station.
- Step 1 – Hard reset: Turn the main power switch OFF for 60 seconds, then turn it back ON. Check if E01 clears.
- Step 2 – Check battery charge: Place the mower on the Sunseeker charging station and verify that the charging LED on the station and the mower's charge icon are active. Allow at least 60–90 minutes of charging, then try to start again.
- Step 3 – Inspect battery terminals: Remove the battery cover (usually under the top housing, secured with Torx screws). Visually inspect the Sunseeker lithium battery pack terminals and connector for corrosion, burning, or looseness. Clean light corrosion with a dry cloth; do not use water.
- Step 4 – Check wiring harness: Follow the main power harness from the battery pack to the main control board. Ensure all connectors are fully seated and not damaged. Look for pinched or cut wires.
- Step 5 – BMS lockout: If the mower has been stored fully discharged for a long time, the internal BMS may have locked out. In this case, the pack may not accept charge. Do not attempt to bypass the BMS. Replace the Sunseeker battery pack or contact a technician.
If E01 persists after these checks, discontinue use and have the battery and main board tested by an authorized Sunseeker service center.
