Possible Causes

Grass or debris jammed in drive wheels, Damaged wheel gearbox, Worn drive motor brushes (if brushed type), Faulty drive motor current sensor on main board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the main power and remove the mower from the lawn before inspecting the wheels.

  • Step 1 – Inspect wheels: Check both rear drive wheels and the front caster(s) for stones, branches, or packed grass preventing rotation. Remove any obstructions.
  • Step 2 – Check wheel free movement: Spin each wheel by hand. They should rotate smoothly with some gearbox resistance but no binding or grinding.
  • Step 3 – Clean wheel housings: Use a brush to remove built-up grass from the wheel treads and around the axle area.
  • Step 4 – Test on flat surface: Place the mower on a flat, dry surface and start a manual drive test (if available in the menu). Observe if one wheel hesitates or stalls.
  • Step 5 – Inspect gearbox: If one wheel is stiff or noisy, the Sunseeker drive motor/gearbox assembly may be failing and should be replaced as a unit.

If E05 persists with freely rotating wheels, the drive motor current sensing circuit on the main PCB may be defective and requires professional diagnosis.
