Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the mower is on level ground and the blade has stopped completely before handling.
- Step 1 – Move to level surface: Place the mower on a flat, stable area and power cycle it. Many Sunseeker models will clear E06 automatically if the tilt angle is normal.
- Step 2 – Check for physical damage: Inspect the mower shell and chassis for signs of impact or deformation that could affect the tilt sensor.
- Step 3 – Access tilt sensor: Remove the top cover to access the internal electronics. Locate the Sunseeker tilt sensor module or IMU (often a small board or sensor fixed to the main PCB). Ensure its connector is firmly seated.
- Step 4 – Gently tap sensor: With power OFF, gently tap the sensor housing to free any stuck mechanical element (on models with mechanical tilt switches).
- Step 5 – Test again: Reassemble, power ON, and start a test run on level ground.
If E06 recurs even on level ground and with secure connections, the tilt sensor or IMU is likely defective and should be replaced or the main board serviced.
