Possible Causes
Faulty lift sensor switch, Debris blocking lift sensor mechanism, Loose lift sensor wiring, Misaligned chassis causing false lift detection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Always turn OFF the main power before turning the mower over or working near the blades.
- Step 1 – Confirm mower is on ground: Ensure the mower is fully resting on the lawn and not hung up on a curb, root, or obstacle.
- Step 2 – Clean underside: Flip the mower and remove grass buildup around the lift sensor area (often near the front or side of the chassis). Debris can hold the sensor in a "lifted" position.
- Step 3 – Check sensor movement: Locate the Sunseeker lift sensor lever or plunger. Manually move it to confirm it returns smoothly and is not stuck.
- Step 4 – Inspect wiring: With the top cover removed, trace the lift sensor cable to the main board. Ensure the connector is secure and the cable is not pinched.
- Step 5 – Test: Reassemble, place on flat ground, and restart. If E07 appears immediately, the lift sensor may be internally faulty.
Do not bypass or short the lift sensor for safety reasons. Replace the lift sensor assembly if it continues to trigger falsely.
