Possible Causes
Defective charging station power board, Worn charging contacts on mower, Internal battery pack failure, Damaged charge sense circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charging station from mains before cleaning or inspecting contacts.
- Step 1 – Inspect contacts: Check the charging contacts on both the mower and station for pitting, burning, or heavy corrosion. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Step 2 – Confirm docking alignment: Ensure the mower docks straight and both contacts fully touch. Adjust the station position if needed.
- Step 3 – Check adapter output: Use a multimeter to verify the Sunseeker power adapter outputs the rated voltage (see label). Replace if no output.
- Step 4 – Observe charging behavior: Place the mower on the dock and watch for charging indicators. If the station LED is normal but the mower does not show charging, suspect the mower-side charging circuit.
- Step 5 – Battery health: If the mower is old or has been deeply discharged repeatedly, the battery pack may no longer accept charge and should be replaced.
Do not attempt to open or repair the lithium battery pack. Replace it with an original Sunseeker pack if E09 persists after external checks.
