Possible Causes
Broken guide wire, Loose guide wire terminal at station, Faulty guide wire transmitter, Damaged guide wire receiver in mower
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the charging station from mains before working on guide wire terminals.
- Step 1 – Check station terminals: Open the charging station terminal cover and verify the guide wire is firmly clamped in the correct terminals.
- Step 2 – Inspect guide wire path: Walk along the guide wire route and look for visible damage, cuts, or places where garden work may have severed the wire.
- Step 3 – Short loop test: Disconnect the existing guide wire and connect a short test length of Sunseeker guide wire. If E14 clears, the original wire is damaged.
- Step 4 – Repair breaks: Use waterproof connectors to repair any breaks and bury the joints.
- Step 5 – Receiver check: If the station indicates a good guide signal but the mower still shows E14, the internal guide wire receiver module may be faulty.
Replace the guide wire or receiver module if the fault cannot be resolved by simple repairs.
