Sunseeker Wheel Slip / Traction Loss Detected

Possible Causes

Excessively worn wheel treads, Very wet or muddy lawn, Incorrect cutting height causing chassis to drag, Faulty traction control algorithm or sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not operate the mower on steep, wet slopes where it may slide uncontrollably.

  • Step 1 – Inspect wheel treads: Check the Sunseeker drive wheels for worn or smooth treads. Replace if the pattern is shallow.
  • Step 2 – Adjust cutting height: Raise the cutting height so the chassis does not drag on the grass, which can reduce traction.
  • Step 3 – Avoid wet mowing: Schedule mowing for dry periods. Wet grass significantly increases slip.
  • Step 4 – Clean wheels: Remove mud and grass from the wheel treads to restore grip.

If E15 occurs even on dry, level ground with good wheels, a sensor or control issue may exist and should be checked by a technician.
