Possible Causes
Depleted RTC backup battery (if present), Corrupted schedule settings, Faulty RTC chip on main board, Power interruptions during schedule write
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower before opening the housing to access the board.
- Step 1 – Reset schedule: Clear all mowing schedules in the menu and re-enter them. Confirm the date and time are correct.
- Step 2 – Power cycle: Turn the main switch OFF for 1 minute, then ON, and recheck the clock.
- Step 3 – Check backup battery: On models with a separate RTC battery on the Sunseeker main board, inspect and replace it if voltage is low (typically a coin cell).
If the clock cannot keep time or E18 recurs, the RTC circuit on the main board may be defective and the board should be replaced.
