Possible Causes

Broken perimeter wire, Disconnected boundary wire terminals at charging station, Faulty boundary signal generator, Poor wire splices in lawn

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect the charging station from mains before touching boundary terminals.

  • Check boundary LED: Look at the boundary signal LED on the TerraMow charging station. If it is off or red, there is a loop problem.
  • Inspect terminal connections: Ensure the boundary wire ends are firmly clamped into the station's boundary terminals (usually marked A/B or L/R). Tighten if loose.
  • Walk the perimeter: Follow the boundary wire path. Look for visible cuts, pulled-up sections, or areas where gardening work may have damaged the cable.
  • Test wire continuity: If you have a basic multimeter, disconnect both ends at the station and measure resistance between them. Very high or infinite resistance indicates a break.
  • Repair breaks: Use TerraMow-compatible waterproof boundary wire connectors to splice any damaged sections. Bury or peg the wire back down.
  • If E04 persists with intact wire: The boundary signal generator module in the charging station may be faulty and need replacement.
