Possible Causes
Worn blade motor bearings, Loose blade disc, Debris trapped in cutting deck, Worn drive wheel bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the mower, remove the key (if equipped), and wear gloves before working near the blades.
- Inspect cutting deck: Turn the TerraMow over and remove any built-up grass, twigs, or stones from around the blade disc and deck.
- Check blade disc tightness: Ensure the blade disc retaining bolt is tightened to the manufacturer’s specification. Do not overtighten.
- Spin components by hand: Rotate the blade disc and drive wheels manually. Listen for grinding or roughness that indicates worn bearings.
- Replace worn parts: If noise is localized to the blade area, replace the TerraMow blade motor. If it comes from the wheels, replace the TerraMow drive wheel or drive motor assembly with worn bearings.
