Possible Causes

Wet or shorted charging contacts, Metal object bridging contacts, Internal short in charging circuit, Damaged contact springs

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the power supply from mains and turn OFF the mower before touching charging contacts.

Steps to check:

  • Inspect for debris: Look for wet grass, mud, or metal objects (e.g., wire, staples) between the charging contacts on both mower and base. Remove and dry thoroughly.
  • Check for corrosion: Clean any green/white corrosion from contacts with a fine abrasive pad and dry cloth.
  • Inspect springs: Ensure the mower's contact pins move freely and are not bent together.
  • Drying: If the mower or base has been exposed to heavy rain, allow them to dry indoors for 24 hours before reconnecting power.

When to call a technician: If E16 persists with clean, dry contacts, the internal charging circuit or base PCB may be shorted and should be replaced.
