Possible Causes
Boundary wire break, Power supply to charging base disconnected, Poor boundary wire connection at base, Interference from nearby cables
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the mower. Disconnect the power supply from the charging base before handling the boundary wire.
Steps to check:
- Check base LED: Look at the LED on the Worx charging station. A solid green light usually indicates a good loop; flashing or off indicates a problem (refer to your model manual).
- Verify power: Ensure the AC adapter is firmly plugged into mains and the base, and that the outlet has power.
- Inspect boundary wire at base: Confirm both wire ends are firmly clamped in the base terminals and that there is no corrosion or broken strands.
- Walk the perimeter: Follow the boundary wire around the lawn, looking for cuts, chew marks (pets/rodents), or places where gardening tools may have damaged it.
- Temporary bypass: If you suspect a break, you can twist the two wire ends together at the suspected break to test. Use proper waterproof wire connectors for permanent repair.
- Test mower: Once the loop LED is solid and stable, place the mower inside the boundary and restart.
When to call a technician: If the loop LED remains off with intact wiring, the charging base PCB or power supply may be faulty and require replacement.
