Possible Causes
Boundary wire damaged and touching itself or metal object, Water ingress into boundary connectors causing short, Incorrect installation with wires twisted together
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Power OFF the mower and unplug the dock before troubleshooting.
- Inspect recent work areas: Focus on places where soil was disturbed, edging was done, or heavy objects were placed. Look for pinched or cut wire.
- Check connectors: Open any in‑line boundary wire connectors and inspect for moisture or corrosion. Replace with new waterproof gel‑filled connectors if needed.
- Isolate sections: Temporarily disconnect half of the boundary loop at a mid‑point (using temporary connectors) to see if E05 clears when only one half is connected. This helps narrow down the shorted section.
- Remove from metal contact: Ensure the wire is not tightly wrapped around metal stakes, fences, or rebar that could cause interference or abrasion.
If the short cannot be located visually, consider using a wire break/short locator tool or contacting a technician.
