Possible Causes

Red emergency stop button locked down, Defective stop button switch, Damaged stop button wiring harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Ensure blades are stopped before releasing any emergency controls.

  • Release E‑stop: Press and twist or pull up the red emergency stop button (depending on model) to release it. Confirm it returns fully to the up position.
  • Check for dirt or grass: Clean around the stop button so it can move freely. Use a dry brush or compressed air; avoid water directly into the switch.
  • Power cycle: Turn the main power switch OFF for 30 seconds, then ON again and check if E08 clears.
  • Inspect switch (advanced): If comfortable, remove the top cover and verify the emergency stop switch connector is firmly attached to the control board.

If E08 remains with the button clearly released, the emergency stop switch is likely faulty and should be replaced.
