Possible Causes
Failed Hall sensor inside wheel motor, Damaged encoder wiring harness, Water ingress into wheel motor housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the mower and remove from the lawn before inspection.
- Check for moisture: Inspect the wheel motor area for signs of water ingress, cracked housings, or missing seals. Dry the area thoroughly.
- Inspect motor cables: Follow the drive motor cables from each wheel to the main control board. Look for cuts, pinch points, or loose connectors. Reseat all connectors firmly.
- Swap sides test (if connectors allow): On some models, left and right motor connectors can be swapped at the board for testing. If the error moves to the other side, the fault is in the motor; if it stays, the board or harness is suspect.
- Short test run: After reseating connectors, run the mower on a flat surface and observe if E11 reappears.
Persistent E11 usually requires replacement of the affected Yarbo Drive Wheel Motor Assembly or repair of the motor sensor wiring.
