Possible Causes
Blades jammed by thick grass or debris, Bent cutting disc, Worn blade motor bearings causing high load
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the main power switch OFF and remove the mower from the lawn. Wear cut‑resistant gloves when working near blades.
- Inspect cutting disc: Carefully tilt the mower on its side. Check the cutting disc and blades for wrapped grass, rope, or branches. Remove all obstructions.
- Check blade condition: Replace any bent, cracked, or heavily worn blades with Yarbo‑approved replacement blades. A bent disc or blade can overload the motor.
- Spin test: With the mower OFF, manually rotate the cutting disc. It should spin freely without grinding noises. Stiff or rough rotation indicates motor or bearing damage.
- Raise cutting height: If E12 occurs in very tall or wet grass, increase the cutting height setting and mow in shorter sessions.
If E12 persists after cleaning and blade replacement, the Yarbo Cutting Motor Assembly may need replacement.
