Possible Causes

Blocked cooling vents, Operating in direct sun at high ambient temperature, Failing internal cooling fan (if equipped)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Do not operate the mower if it feels excessively hot to the touch.

  • Move to shade: Bring the mower to a shaded, cool area and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes with power OFF.
  • Clean vents: Inspect and clean all ventilation openings on the mower body using a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and grass.
  • Check fan operation: On models with an internal cooling fan, listen for fan operation when the mower is powered ON. If the fan does not run, it may be faulty.
  • Adjust schedule: Reschedule mowing to cooler times of day (early morning or evening) to reduce thermal load.

Repeated E18 errors in normal temperatures may indicate a failed Yarbo Internal Cooling Fan or temperature sensor on the main board.
